In Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia:
His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Mohammed Al-Issa , Secretary-General of the Muslim World League (MWL) and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars, delivered the opening address at the Third International Summit of Religious Leaders, held under the patronage and in the presence of His Royal Highness Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah and the Prime Minister, Mr. Anwar Ibrahim. In his remarks, he emphasized the historic responsibility of religious leaders in addressing a number of issues vital to the peace of our world and the harmony of its societies. He reviewed some of the most significant of these issues and offered his reflections on them. He also highlighted the important role entrusted to youth, particularly in addressing the risks associated with unrestricted exposure to modern technology—especially artificial intelligence—without intellectual resilience or ethical safeguards. He further emphasized the importance of religious diplomacy in helping to defuse crises, stressing that the world does not need more weapons, but rather more wisdom to prevent their use.
