The Muslim World League Condemns the Targeting of a World Food Programme Convoy in North Kordofan

The Muslim World League (MWL) has strongly condemned the targeting of a World Food Programme (WFP) relief convoy in North Kordofan, in the Republic of Sudan, by the Rapid Support Forces.
In a statement issued by its General Secretariat, His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, Secretary-General of the Muslim World League and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars, denounced this heinous criminal act, which constitutes a grave violation of all religious values, as well as international and humanitarian laws and norms.
His Excellency reiterated the firm position of the MWL and all Islamic peoples under its umbrella in rejecting and condemning the targeting of civilians, relief organizations, and humanitarian workers. He stressed the urgent need to comply with the provisions of the Jeddah Declaration and relevant international laws, particularly those concerning the protection of civilians and the safeguarding of humanitarian aid corridors in Sudan.
